First Lutheran Bismarck Our worship service was so heartwarming! The kiddos did a marvelous job leading the congregation, they took every piece to heart, from the greeting to singing the call to worship, the absolution of sins, lessons, children's sermon, the offering, communion, and the closing songs. This was a wonderful experience for each of them to process what actually goes into a worship service. Who knows, which one of them will be leading worship themselves one day! Praise be to God!
On Sunday our 3rd and 4th grade class decorated cookies and delivered to fire stations, police stations, and ambulance stations to thank them for all they do in the community. The youth made 13 dozen cookies. If you see Nevaeh, Isabella, Jazmyn, Kaylee, Addison, Christina, or Lakyn thank them for the good job on the cookies.

Helping others is an all year around gift... however now is known as the season to give . If anyone is looking for an organization or families to donate to this season... I called Ruth Meiers on Wednesday. They currently have 52 children ages 5mo to 17 years old who are homeless and living at the shelter. They are currently in dire need of winter gear for all of the children. Mittens, hats, scarves, snow pants and coats. They are expecting more kids in their care soon. If you would like to buy something for any kids in these age groups, you can either wrap and attach a card with gender and age or just drop them off at First Lutheran and we will deliver. Any questions? Call me (Robyn) at 223-4340 T-F.
GREAT PLAINS FOOD BANK - $1.00 buys 3 meals for the hungry! Where can you get 3 meals for $1.00? Where can you feed 3 strangers or give 3 strangers something to drink for $1.00? Matthew 25:35. The only place I can think of would be GREAT PLAINS FOOD BANK of NORTH DAKOTA! If you feel led to give a donation of $1.00, or any amount to Great Plains Food Bank, stop by First Lutheran Bismarck 800 N 7th St and we will see that it is given for the purpose you intend, to feed the hungry in Burleigh County! Thank you, from those who are hungry and those who are thirsty. Matthew 25: 35.

First Lutheran Quilters gifted each of our 8 high school seniors a beautiful handmade quilt honoring their accomplishments!
Bustling around and down the halls, here and there, all over this place were excited children wearing gardening gloves, carrying miniature shovels and baskets of flowers ready to beautify the grounds of First Lutheran. What a MAGNIFICENT job they've done, you have to drive by and take a look!
REMEMBER, starting this Sunday, 9:30 AM, we have just one worship service throughout the summer. Coffee and cookies following. See you there!
