CONGRATULATIONS FIRST LUTHERAN!
Last Sunday we were privileged to have Pete Bauer, store director Dan's north with us to present First Lutheran with a check for $1000 for our youth going to Houston this June. All those going and their adult mentors were present to accept the check. Pete congratulated us for our persistence in collecting the Dan's receipts and encouraged us to continue on with another $1,000 fundraiser.
For now we are working to help our neighbors at Peace Lutheran in Lincoln. Peace has two young men that are working toward earning their way to the National Youth Gathering and it would be an easy way for us to help and support them in their efforts. So, keep bringing your Dan's receipts, it is for a good cause.
First Lutheran Church, Bismarck young adults continue working hard to raise the $21, 000 it will take to go to the National Youth Gathering in Houston this summer 2018 where the theme is, "This (the Cross) Changes Everything!" At present they have raised 19,456.48 and continue working on fund raising projects. Thanks for supporting this venture, it will be a life changing event/memory!

Wanda, Pam, Jay, Marie, Pastor Allen and Robyn are SO excited! Saturday morning we mailed the ready for inspection 2018 First Lutheran Church Pictorial Directry off to the printers! It has taken several months to advertise this project, hours of calling to make appointments, days of checking in families as they came to have their photos taken, and getting completed photos out to their owners. There was also the layout of activity pages, colors to choose, decisions to make, IT WAS A HUGE JOB! So, now we wait for the book to proof making sure it is all in order. We will let you know when that happens.
WE ARE EXCITED to present our NEW E-FIRST ONLINE GIVING tab on the home page. Check it out!

FIRST LUTHERAN YOUTH are fund raising to be able to go to Houston, Texas for the 2018 Youth Gathering. The theme is "The Cross Changes Everything!" One of their fundraisers is collecting receipts from any Dan's Super Market in Bismarck. At the bottom of your Dan's slips you will see a $ amount , that is the qualifying amount we can use to raise for their trip. We need $150, 000 of qualifying receipts to get a $ 1, 000 check from Dan's in return. As of December 2017 we met our goal! January 25th we have $ $17, 186, not too bad for six weeks! Instead of throwing the slips away, please bring them to worship any Saturday evening or Sunday morning and drop them in the box on the table in the sanctuary. You can also send them to First Lutheran 800 N 7th St Bismarck, N.D., 58501 , or drop them off at the church office any day of the week between 9 am - 4 pm. The youth will be thrilled for your help! Tell your family and friends as well! Thank you!
