First Lutheran Bismarck Our worship service was so heartwarming! The kiddos did a marvelous job leading the congregation, they took every piece to heart, from the greeting to singing the call to worship, the absolution of sins, lessons, children's sermon, the offering, communion, and the closing songs. This was a wonderful experience for each of them to process what actually goes into a worship service. Who knows, which one of them will be leading worship themselves one day! Praise be to God!

We were a busy place Sunday morning! Services started out with "Amazing Grace," and "This little Light of Mine," by Bismarck's Elk's Chorus, what a tremendous group of singers these men are, thank you! First Lutheran Quilters gifted each of our 8 high school seniors a beautiful handmade quilt honoring their accomplishments, and bustling around and down the halls, here and there, all over this place were excited children wearing gardening gloves, carrying miniature shovels and baskets of flowers ready to beautify the grounds of First Lutheran. What a MAGNIFICENT job they've done, you have to drive by and take a look! REMEMBER, starting this Sunday, 9:30 AM, we have just one worship service throughout the summer. See you there!
CONGRATULATIONS FIRST LUTHERAN! We were privileged to have Pete Bauer, store director Dan's north with us to present First Lutheran with a check for $1000 for our youth going to Houston this June. Pete congratulated us for our persistence in collecting the Dan's receipts and encouraged us to continue on with another $1,000 fundraiser.
For now we are working to help our neighbors at Peace Lutheran in Lincoln. Peace has two young men that are working toward earning their way to the National Youth Gathering and it would be an easy way for us to help and support them in their efforts. So, keep bringing your Dan's receipts, it is for a good cause.
